This is an original Marcus Engstrom custom, hand-built motorcycle guitar. It boasts all chrome plated handmade metal parts. The body is mahogany, sprayed with a greenish-blue color, and finished with flat nitro. This one-of-a-kind guitar has an ebony fingerboard inlayed with ablam. It comes with a custom made Ameritage case with humidity control. This is an amazingly unique piece of art.
Swedish born guitar builder, Marcus Engstrom, began his career at the young age of 15, when he built his first electric guitar in wood class. He knew then that this is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. At 19, after finishing machinist school, Marcus moved to Norway to attend one of the only 4-year instrument making academies in the world.
In 2003, he traveled to the United States for an apprenticeship with the nationally respected luthier and repairman, Dan Roberts. Marcus worked with Dan for several years at the Santa Cruz Guitar Company building arch top guitars.
After moving to Bozeman, Montana in 2008, Marcus started Engstrom Guitars where he not only provides high-end guitar repair, but handbuilds custom guitars for musicians all over the world.
